In her artistic practice, Nita delves the layers of emotional distance, tension and personal narrative. Working across staged photography, fashion photography and performance, she seeks to give form to what often remains unseen or invisible.
Nita is captivated by the moment something slips out of place, when a subtle distortion appears. Her work navigates the physical and psychological human experience, where the body becomes a place where the private and the political, the visible and the invisible, collide.
Drawn to emotional and physical off-balance, she uses absurdity and humour as tools to touch themes such as the lightness of our modern era, the fragile nature of relationships and the blurred boundary between reality and fiction.
Her practice questions: How do we life with the immensity of what we feel? How do we carry love, its joy and its weigh, within the limited form we’re given?
Alongside her artistic practice, Nita is active in academia and the creative industry, working at the intersection of brand storytelling, content design and media production. Nita holds a Master of Arts in Photography from Aalto University and a BA from the Royal Academy of Art, The Hague.
